mothers day weekend

We went to seaside for the mothers day weekend with sams parents. The kids had a great time riding the carosel and the small train. We went swimming every day that we were there. ANd to the kids any time there is a pool it is the best vacation ever. We also went to the little aquarium on the board walk. Connor fed the seals and Alexis claped as they splashed us all.

planting day

The kids always have

such a good time planting the garden at the beginning of the season. They all go and pick out what kind of vegies they want to grow. Alexis got to pick out some new flowers to plant as well. Fun time at our house.

can't resist

Ok so we were driving by this store and it had a pirate flag out front. SO of course we had to stop. THis to me are the best pictures of the trip. They now got to be real pirates. What a way to end the perfect adventure.

last stop

Well we went to the coast guard museum as our last stop. The kids are trying out the rescue flotation device. Alexis isnt sure about all the manakins but she liked the fact that she was allowed to touch it all.

more of the same

If you look realy close you can see the top of Connors head in the command station. He had a good time looking out over the water and pretending that he was a soldier looking out for ships. Alexis loved getting a change to practice her driving skills.

The fort

Our next stop was to go see the Fort. I think that nana and papa were not realy ready to go on this full adventure with us. But they were great sports as they were being lead around by the kids to see all the places they could fit.

Well we did it we found a ship wreck. The beach that day as you can see is cold and wet. Along with the ship Connor discovered a giant pile of sea weed. He started to drag them from all over the beach to help with the collection. So far Abby has had a great time on our adventure as well. She did a lot of swimming and even tried to join the two men on the boat.
